Virtual Global Day 2021

Rules: 

• Minimum number of group/country members is 5.
• You don’t have to be a national of a certain country to join, anyone can be part of any country they want.
• Global Day will be conducted before Midterms (Submissions)
  • Start: February 1, 2021
  • End: March 1, 2021
  • Award Ceremony: March 15, 2021
• Categories: (6 minutes total)
  • National Attire (1 Minute)
  • Performance (sing, dance) (2 Minute)
  • Speech (Informative speech, poem, story-telling) (1 Minute)
  • Arts (process of doing the work: drawing, sketching, painting, calligraphy, handcrafts, embroidery) (1 Minute)
  • National Food (process of making and final presentation of the dish) (1 Minute)
• Heads and Co-heads should ensure that the correct files are being uploaded to avoid getting disqualified.
• Judging:
  • Once the videos are uploaded by the given deadline, the judges will have a judging period ranging between March 1 – March 15.
  • Judges will be selected through a draw (8 – 10 faculty and staff), and their names will not be announced to students.
  • Each category is out of 10 marks, so total is 50 for the entire submission.
• Awards:
  • Heads and Co-Heads will get a small trophy
  • Members will get certificates
  • 1^st place, 2^nd place, and 3^rd place for the OVERALL SCORE (out of 50) will get the big trophies
  • There will be 5 other trophies, one for each category the scores the highest as an individual score (out of 10)
  • Which means we would finally have 8 winners.

Note: students will not be able to view what other countries have been uploading for the entire month. They will only be able to do so after March 1.
