An Egyptian Professor of oral medicine and periodontology, born in 1973, graduated from faculty of oral & dental medicine, Cairo University 1996. He finished master’s degree in oral medicine and periodontology from College of dentistry Suez Canal university in 2003 and then DDS from same university in 2007. Prof. Hossam is working as Associate Dean Clinical, Supervisor of postgraduate studies, MDS Periodontics program Director, Dental internship program Director and Chairperson QA & Program evaluation Committee College of Dentistry GMU for the last five years. He finished five funded research grants from Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Dubai with more than 50 publications in peer reviewed indexed international journals. He is significantly contributed as a team member in accreditation of BDS program and team leader of accreditation of MDS programs.
In 2012 Prof. Hossam and his team succeeded in recording new bacterial strains in GenBank Bethesda, Maryland, USA.
Prof. Hossam is currently enrolled in joint master of health profession education program offered by GMU in collaboration with FAIMER for two years to be finished by November 2020.
Before moving to UAE, Prof. Hossam has taken different academic and clinical positions in Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Prof. Hossam last position was Associate Professor and Coordinator of division of Periodontics, member in different committees at College of dentistry, King Khalid University, where he was awarded the best teacher for his academic excellence for two years successively, moreover, he has provided consultation services to private clinics as periodontist.
