The Gulf Medical University and its Healthcare Division are owned by the Thumbay Group, which is unique to GMU. The establishment of the “Gulf Medical University Academic Health System” has allowed the integration of GMU’s triple mission of health professions education, research and clinical care at all levels.
Thumbay University Hospital, Ajman is a 350 bedded and the main teaching hospital of Gulf Medical University. It is also recognized by the Ministry of Health and Prevention, UAE, for internship training. The other hospitals under Thumbay Group include: Thumbay Hospital Ajman, Thumbay Hospital Fujairah, Thumbay Hospital Day-Care Muweila, Thumbay Medical and Dental Specialty Center Sharjah &Thumbay Clinics.
Our other affiliated clinical training sites include the Ministry of Health Hospitals (Al Amal Hospital Dubai, Primary Health Centers Ajman & Kuwaiti Hospital Sharjah), Dubai Health Authority Hospitals (Rashid Hospital & Primary Health Centers Dubai), Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (in partnership with Mayo Clinic), Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi &Danat Al Emarat Hospital Abu Dhabi.
